Palacio Gran Vía, a Royal Hideaway Hotel

Hotel Palacio Gran Via is a polished, highly professional hotel, where staff attend to customers' needs with enthusiasm, and the quality of all the basic elements is high. It is situated in the heart of downtown, maybe a 15 minute walk from the path to the Alhambra, and virtually across the street from the Cathedral, the University of Grenada, the Capilla Royal, the remnants of the old Medina, and many plazas. The breakfast buffet was lavish and fresh, and included dishes ordered from a menu as well as the buffet. We ate lunch one day in the cafe (empty, but we asked and a staff member immediately came to take our order and serve), and it was notably healthy and fresh food. The hammam is lovely (remember to turn it on in time to let it warm up!). They made reservations for us by the window of a restaurant (El Agua) with spectacular views of the Alhambra and excellent, even innovative, food.

Staff were super friendly. Breakfast was very yummy with a wide selection of buffet choice. There concierge Irene was superb in recommendations and advice. The spa was great and the massages and facials were one of the best I have ever had. She was really great in finding the problem areas. The beds and pillows were scrummy, and the sheets so silky.

Absolutely amazing experience. It is expensive, and in this case, you understand completely what you are paying for. All the staff members are extremely professional, helpful and kind, the hotel smells heavenly, beds are comfy, the SPA zone is small but completely sufficient, and the location is amazing. The building itself is a beautifully renovated historical building, with a lot of authentic details. Even the restaurant far exceeded our expectations. Just wow.

We LOVED this hotel! Location is perfect. Rooms are small, but modern and efficiently designed. Bed was comfortable and we didn’t hesitant to select our preferred pillow types. I don’t think I will ever forget the breakfast - the food options (both buffet and made-to-order) were fresh, healthy, and delicious. Views of both Alhambra and Cathedral from rooftop bar - roof is for guests only which creates an unmatched peaceful atmosphere in the middle of the city. We took advantage of the hammam (baths) multiple times and would have liked to use the gym if we had enough time. Staff was very kind and helpful.
